Google Analytics runs here only if you accept it. If you decline, nothing from Google loads.
Analytics (only if you accept)
We use Google Analytics 4 to learn which guides get read and which links get clicked, so we know what to improve. When you press Accept on the banner, Google Analytics loads and sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) in your browser.
What it records:
- The pages you view, roughly how long you stay, and how far you scroll.
- Clicks on links that leave the site, including our shop buttons (which retailer, and from which page).
- When you play a festival video, open a photo, use the festival search or filters, or open a quick answer.
- Your approximate location (country and city), device type, browser and how you arrived. Google Analytics 4 doesn’t store full IP addresses.
We turn off Google’s advertising features: no ad personalisation and no Google signals. We don’t combine this data with anything else, and we don’t put your name or email into it.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out in Google’s way as well, with its browser add-on.
. Declining after accepting removes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
What your browser stores otherwise
If you switch between light and dark, we remember that in your browser’s local storage. We also store your cookie choice there. Neither is sent to us.
Videos
Festival videos don’t load until you press play. When you do, the video comes from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to that player.
Shop links
Shop buttons open the retailer’s website, where the retailer’s privacy policy applies.
Fonts and images
Fonts and photos are served from this site, not from third parties.
